DEPALLETIZATION USING FANUC 3D VISION SENSOR
Stac Robotics was tasked to design an egg depalletization process with variability in mind.
Project Description:
Design a machine system to depalletize (2) types of material packaging for an egg processing facility.- System must be able to depalletize eggs with two different types of packaging utilizing a vision system that can detect pick points amongst like-colored materials.
- Project utilizing the latest in 3D vision system technology from Fanuc.
- Project incorporates (2) Fanuc R2000iC-165F six axis robots.
- Custom control panel built to manage the automated system.
- Custom conveyor designed for cell.
- Wireless I/O communication of EOAT to PLC to reduce wear and deterioration of cables routed to the EOAT.
- 3D vision technology differentiates between variant packaging, indicating to the system which pallet is present, and which pallet is to be processed.
- 3D vision technology guides the robot in the depalletizing operation.
- 2D vision technology guides the robot in the picking of pallet dunnage.
- Second robot deconstructs pallet dunnage and stacks dunnage on outfeed conveyor.
- Washdown application
- Custom HMI developed for control of automated equipment.
- Ethernet/IP communication protocol for all I/O present in the system.
